BEIRUT: Several people were killed by Israeli bombings in the Syrian city of Aleppo early on Monday, according to Syrian state media. State-run news agency SANA failed to give a specific number of casualties, saying that it targeted southeast edge of Aleppo.
“Many martyrs and some losses” resulted from these aggression, SANA added.
Israel neither confirmed nor denied the incident; this is usually so whenever Syria is involved.
Syria has been fighting Israel since its formation in 1948. Iran has supported President Bashar Assad’s country for years in Syria’s ongoing civil war while previously Israel had also attacked Iranian military positions and equipment.
Moreover, at the same time Israel is fighting with Hamas in Gaza strip. While Hezbollah keeps firing across the border into Israel, it too launched attacks on Lebanon separately.
