BCCI Secretary Unsure If New Coach Indian Or Foreign
According to Shah, some of the other members of the changed coaching staff such as batting, bowling and fielding coaches will be decided upon by the new coach. “We cannot tell if this is going to be an Indian or Foreigner as coach. It depends on Cricket Advisory Committee (CAC),” Shah said.
The CAC consists of three members who are Ashok Malhotra (the head), Jatin Paranjape, and Sulakshana Naik. They are also supposed to finalize the appointment of national elector in near future.

Shah informed that BCCI had talked to ICC about holding 2027 World Test Championship (WTC) final outside England. The first two WTC finals were played in England while third too shall take place at Lord’s Cricket Ground in London in 2025.
“We’ve broached the topic of ICC in 2027. There are only three significant test venues – India, UK and Australia. You cannot have exams in Australia within this window, not even India,” he added.
There are speculations that Shah may take over as International Cricket Council (ICC) president in November after Greg Barclay’s term ends this year although the BCCI secretary kept his cards close to his chest. “Leave it to speculation. But let me be here (BCCI). Didn’t I do good job?” he quipped.
Fees For Domestic Competitions Will Not Increase
Shah stated that domestic player salaries would not be raised.He also said that Indian T20 vice-captain Hardik PandyaThe A-rated players on Central contracts have agreed to play in the white-ball domestic tournament with Syed Mushtaq Ali and Vijay Hazare.
According to Shah, NCA’s high-performance center at National Cricket Academy (NCA) Bengaluru will begin functioning from August.
