India’s vice-captain, Smriti Mandhana has reached the third position in the latest ICC ODI women’s rankings. With a total of 738 rating points she has taken a one spot rise.
This puts her as the topmost Indian batter in 50-over cricket. At the same time, Harmanpreet Kaur, captain of India, remains at position nine on these tables.
In this shuffle that has occurred in the rankings, Chamari Athapaththu from Sri Lanka went down to fourth place and is behind Smriti Mandhana. However, there have been positive movements for other Sri Lankan players in these rankings.
There are also notable changes for some Sri Lankan players in batting charts whereby Nilakshika de Silva has risen by three slots to number 32 while Harshitha Samarawickrama climbed up eight places to occupy the 44th slot also Kavisha Dilhari made an improvement of four slots to appear at position fiftieth on ODI batting charts

The world t20 ODI list shows that it was not only India’s Harmanpreet Kaur who had been among those who performed well and moved up but also Gaby Lewis from Ireland with a new highest ranking since started playing cricket.
Samarawickrama played a great game against Ireland where she scored 65 runs off just 44 balls thus taking her up by three positions to thirteenth overall.
On the other hand, Lewis’ splendid innings where she managed to score 119 runs out of seventy five balls led her being only raised by four sports hence reaching twenty-first which is her personal best last recorded when this player achieved it two years ago.
