IND vs SL Live, India vs Sri Lanka 3rd ODI: It will be interesting to see how the new coach Gautam Gambhir performs against Sri Lanka in attempt to avoid their first defeat at home since 1994. The series began with the two sides drawing a match and then Sri Lanka coming out on top by thirty-two runs in the second game played on Sunday.
After yesterday’s misfortune, they have an opportunity to take their best XI onto the park or give some fringe players a run as they prepare for the next ICC trophy that will be contested within six months’ time. So any loss would shock Gautam Gambhir and his recently appointed backroom staff who only inherited the side that had been playing some of the finest one day cricket in India just less than twelve months before this tournament this year started.
And even though it has had a triumphant beginning, no team would want to conclude a tour like this one where more questions than answers exist at its end after fortnight sojourn in Sri Lanka.
