Before flying to Sri Lanka, Team India’s Gautam Gambhir had an interview concerning his relationship with the Secretary of BCCI, Jay Shah.
“I have an excellent relationship with him. I have known Jay Shah for a very long time. Different things are said on different pages in those rumors. So, instead of putting it into the press we can give a better explanation about that.I know Jay Shah from way back. Until now, we had been good friends. I hope it stays so,” Gambhir told media during a press conference.
That followed by the Indian cricket team former left-hand batsman saying that he is much less important than the success of his team.
“Indian cricket needs to be made better first and foremost; he captioned. “It is not about Gambhir.” We all have our hearts in our right places. If we believe Indian cricket must move forward, then we will be aligned with each other.I have worked well with him until now and hopefully this goes on forever as well,” according to ANI quoted 42-year-old former player.
After their final press conference in Mumbai on Monday, the Indian cricket squad flew out for Sri Lanka where they will participate in a T20I series comprising three matches and also a three-match ODI series there.
