Despite the sensitive nature of the subject matter, Bhansali revealed that he faced no significant negative reaction while creating it “constitution”. The absence of prominent non-Muslim or Sikh figures did not deter him, as he believed his work had universal appeal. “There’s something about the characters that connects to the people in my work,” he explains. “That’s why they’re talking about this.”
“Heeramandi” premiered on May 1 and is highly anticipated, with a huge cast including Manisha Koirala; Aditi Rao HydariSharmin Siegel, Taha Shah Badusha, Shekhar Sumanand Adityan Suman.
