Hina Khan, one of the most famous bahus on TV because her show Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai is very popular, talked about leaving the show. After being on the show for seven years, they eventually killed off my popular character of Mrs. Akshara Singhania and since then there have been a lot of rumors regarding my exit. That’s why I am addressing exactly that. Hina admits that her decision to leave was not an easy thing but she also did not want to speak ill against producers or team associated with the program.
Hina Khan confesses that her exit from Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai was not a smooth one; says, “My father took a promise that I will never speak ill about anyone from that show”
Hina Khan spoke to Galaata India in an interview where she admitted to still having respect for those who made YRKYKH what it is today as it made her a household name.”These guys (makers of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai) have given me my first break. I have that respect and regard for them. First time when I left my first ever show, I remember my dad was really sad. It went on for years without any good ending. We just didn’t talk anymore… well it wasn’t bad though.. We just weren’t friends like before; we were different now but nothing more than this isn’t okay because ‘this’ isn’t nice; no! Well things happen you know? They come and go, right? The wound heals over time at least with me it did completely heal me so there are no regrets,”
Recently producer Rajan Shahi revealed that Hina Khan quit after claiming that she had been ignored in presence of Shivangi Joshi; and she did not like her becoming more prominent in the serials. Elaborating further on the same, Hina added, “I have respect and regard for them. I don’t know why is it happening from the other side, time and again. I just don’t get it. Not that I would like to talk about it and I don’t want to.”
She also mentioned that her father had made a request for this reason which was the only reason because of which she did not tell more things and told that she would not say anything against the show’s creators. “I remember my father was extremely sad and right after I left the show, he (her father) took a promise from me. He said, ‘Promise me you will never speak ill about anyone from that show’. He said that. I stick to that. Now, he is not here. How can I break that promise? I am not going to say anything,” she added.
“I have a lot of regard and respect. It will always be there in my heart, no hard feelings. But also one thing… Sometimes people who talk too much are not necessarily saying right things… And those who say less may also happen to be wrong.’ That’s all,” she concluded.
