Three MLAs – Sombir Sangwan, Randhir Gollen and Dharampal Gonder – also said they have decided to address the issue during the elections. The Congress Party provided support.
Haryana’s ruling Bharatiya Janata Party suffered a setback in the Lok Sabha elections with three independent MLAs on Tuesday announcing they had withdrawn their support to the Nayab Singh Saini-led government in the state.
Three MLAs – Sombir Sangwan, Randhir Gollen and Dharampal Gonder – also said they have decided to address the issue during the elections. The Congress Party provided support.
They announced the news at a press conference in Rohtak, which was attended by former Haryana chief minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda and state Congress chief Uday Ban. “We are withdrawing support to the government. We are extending support to Congress,” Gond said.
“We took this decision on various issues, including those related to farmers,” he said. Uday Bhan told a press conference that “three independent MPs – Sombir Sangwan, Randhir Singh Goren and Dharampal Gondal – have withdrawn their support for the BJP government support to the Congress Party.
“I would also like to say that the Haryana Assembly (90 members) currently has 88 members, out of which the BJP has 40 members. The BJP government had earlier received support from the BJP MLAs and independents , but the BJP also withdrew its support and now independents have also left.
Reacting to the development, Union Minister Hardeep Singh Puri said: “I am aware of the matter, I have seen the report, but I have no information… When we get information, we The people will give you a statement. “The Nayab Singh Saini government is now a minority government. Saini should tender his resignation as he does not have the right to stay even for a minute. The assembly polls should be held immediately now,” he said.
