India batter Hanuma Vihari has finally obtained his no objection certificate (NOC) from the Andhra Cricket Association (ACA) after breaking apart with the state body.
In March, ACA had asked Vihari to explain why he claimed that they had dismissed him as a captain without dignity. In response, Vihari had revealed that he would never play for the state again.
In one of his X posts, this Indian cricketer admitted how relieved he was by expressing himself “I have been requesting for NOC since 2 months now and they gave it to me on Monday.” In domestic cricket, a player must obtain an NOC from his home association in order to be eligible for selection to any other states.
“I have been asking for NOC for two months. Mailed them four times. My NOC didn’t give me before. Things are moving like clockwork,” he mentioned while talking about TDP’s heavy win at the state election.
“Andhra Cricket Association has no objection for Hanuma Vihari to represent any other association affiliated to The Board Of Control For Cricket In India as a player from 2024-25 season onwards,” stated Gopinath Reddy in the NOC.
Having played last Test match in 2022, against Bangladesh, Vihari made his debut in January 2018 against South Africa – since then he has featured in 16 Test matches only.
