In 2024, the ninth Women’s T20 World Cup will be held in the United Arab Emirates and ten teams from different parts of the world will take part. The most awaited tournament begins today with Bangladesh taking on Scotland in the opening match at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium.
The tournament will adopt the round-robin tournament style whereby the ten teams are separated into two sections of five teams each at the first group segment.
At the end of the play, only the top two teams in each group will be promoted to the next knockout round which features the last four teams only.
