In 2024, the ninth Women’s T20 World Cup will be held in the United Arab Emirates and ten teams from different parts of the world will take part. In this case, the strength of women in this sport and all the participants of this site are honored by Google, who uses search engine Doodle specifically designed for this prestigious event. The most awaited tournament begins today with Bangladesh taking on Scotland in the opening match at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium.

The tournament will adopt the round-robin tournament style whereby the ten teams are separated into two sections of five teams each at the first group segment.

At the end of the play, only the top two teams in each group will be promoted to the next knockout round which features the last four teams only.

The last match also known as the finals will be the battle between the finalists and the team that emerges victorious will be declared the champion of the competition. Australia has always been among the strongest teams in the history of the Women s T20 World Cup events.

It was also Australia’s last title to start the knockout stage at the defending champions and the only goal is to win the additional seventh cup. Scotland is amongst the new countries featuring in the tournament for the first time, along with several other completed new teams.
