These four movies from India had nearly eleven million views put together: Rajkummar Rao’s biography movie, Srikanth is number three; Maharaja by Vijay Sethupathi is number four (Tamil); Wild Wild Punjab, a hilarious caper movie, ranks sixth and the true story of YRF’s period drama, Maharaj at number ten.

Based on the real-life story of blind businessman Srikanth Bolla who founded Bollant Industries, this film stars Rajkummar Rao as the protagonist with direction by Tushar Hiranandani. It also features Jyothika, Alaya F. and Sharad Kelkar.
Maharaja: About
Nithilan Swaminathan directed this film which has Vijay Sethupathi playing the titular role alongside Anurag Kashyap, Sachana Namidass Mamta Mohandas Natarajan Subramaniam Abhirami Gopikumar Aruldoss Munishkanth Manikandan Singampuli Bharathiraja as lead cast. The police officers begin to suspect his after this barber tells them that his Lakshmi iron dustbin has been stolen during a house break-in.

A 2024 Indian Hindi-language comedy film directed by Simarpreet Singh and stars Varun Sharma, Jassie Gill, Sunny Singh, Manjot Singh, Patralekha Paul and Ishita Raj Sharma was released on Netflix just last week on July 10, 2024.

Maharaja, a film starring Junaid Khan, Shalini Pandey Sharvari along with Jaideep Ahlawat is based on the life of a real person who played leading role in the Maharaj libel case in the year 1862. The story-line is adapted from Saurabh Shah’s book about the event.
