Actor Shekhar Suman and former Congress leader Radhika Khera joined the Bharatiya Janata Party in New Delhi on May 7, 2024.
Both Khera and Suman joined the saffron party in the presence of senior leaders including BJP national general secretary Vinod Tawde and state media unit chief Anil Baluni.

Hera, the former national coordinator of the Congress party’s media wing, resigned as a key member of the party on Sunday, days after she got into an argument with another leader at the party’s Chhattisgarh office.
In her resignation letter to Congress president Mallikarjun Haji, Kaira also said she faced opposition within the party for visiting the Rama temple in Ayodhya.
