A video footage of people singing Nazi slogan in North Sea island of Sylt, Germany has gone viral on social media prompting outrage in the country.
In a popular bar at Kampen, a wealthy German vacation destination, the mob yelled “Foreigners out!” and “Germany for Germans” while L’Amour Toujours by Gigi D’Agostino was playing.
The video is only a few seconds long and has gone viral over social media since Thursday with young men and women shown who are smiling as they shout racist slurs. One man appears to be drawing an outline of Hitler’s moustache on his upper lip using his fingertips.
The caption and the nazi salute are illegal in Germany
Chancellor Olaf Scholz reacted to the video calling it “disgusting”.
According to him on X: “Such slogans are disgusting. They are not acceptable”
“We distance ourselves from any form of racism or discrimination that the persons seen there represent,” wrote pub operators on Instagram. If ever we knew about this, we would surely have sent those guests away. No place for racism!!!
