HD Kumaraswamy claims that a pen drive containing obscene videos of his nephew Prajwal Revanna was circulated allegedly with the help of police
Amid the ongoing probe into the Karnataka sex tape controversy, former chief minister and BJP leader HD Kumaraswamy on Tuesday said a pen containing obscene videos of his nephew and Hassan MP Prajwal Revanna was allegedly recovered with the help of police The drive is propagated.
Kumaraswamy told a press conference: “Today I am here to talk about an incident that should not happen in society. On April 21, a pen drive was circulated across the state. This was done with the help of the police The videos were deliberately circulated in Bengaluru rural, Mandya and even Hassan.
Kumaraswamy revealed that Prajwal Revanna’s election agent Poornachandra lodged a complaint with Hassan DC and the police on April 22. I’m not defending anything in these films. The law must go its own way and punishment must be meted out. The complaint was filed against four individuals and related to the distribution of the video. It has been 15 days since the complaint was filed. So far, no action has been taken against them for circulating the film.
JD(S) leader Kumaraswamy said: “On April 21, a WhatsApp channel was created and words like this were shared – Follow this channel to watch Prajwal Revanna’s video.”
“When the SIT was formed, I thought the investigation would be fair, but it was not the case. This SIT was the Siddaramaiah investigation team and the other team was the Shivakumar investigation team. They called the SIT to the house to discuss the case,” Kumaraswar Mi said at a press conference.

Kumaraswamy further said that no direct complaint has been lodged against HD Revanna so far. “There were complaints that she had been kidnapped. When Revanna applied for bail, SIT advocates argued that they did not know if she was still alive. But she was later rescued from the farmhouse. “The man named Karthik (driver) issued a statement on April 30 and spread information about the case to the media. So far, Karthik Gowda, who spread the video, has not appeared in public and was not arrested. The SIT did not make any effort to find him. A major controversy broke out in Karnataka after a video clip purportedly showing Prajwal Revanna surfaced on social media. Notably, these videos emerged a day after the second phase of the Lok Sabha elections on April 26, when 14 of the 28 seats in Karnataka went to polls.
The explicit video, allegedly shot by Prajwal, was widely circulated in Hassan constituency. However, MP Hassan denied the accusations and said the viral videos were morphed.
A woman has since filed a formal complaint alleging that the MP sexually assaulted her on multiple occasions between 2019 and 2022.
