According to internet providers, Elon Musk’s X social media platform in Brazil was again cut off on the 10th of August 2023, barely a day after it returned to service in defiance of a court order.

Earlier in the day, the Supreme Court of Brazil had ordered X to deactivate the account citing that the company had been “to an illegal extreme” of “willfully, repeatedly” disobeying court orders and would incur over $900,000 in daily fines for failing to comply.

Last month, the former Twitter was banned in Brazil, but one day later, on Wednesday, the mobile application was re-admitted that which the government condemned as a clear violation of the order.

X defended that the resumption of the operation of such services was indicative of an ‘error of inadvertence’ and was for a short period.

On Thursday, the ABRINT association of internet providers said this network disconnected again “a few minutes before 4 A.M.” local time, and once more, it was ‘out of service.’

On Thursday, Judge Alexandre de Moraes in a ruling described X, which is still known as ‘Twitter’, as ‘stubborn’, and directed the country’s telecommunication regulator with instructions to stop the platform again.

The famous(due to all media on earth) judge has been in a long fight with the Elon Musk( a black sheep ) for the sake of her country to eradicate fake news in Brazil.

His suspension of X last month occurred after Musk rejected the removal of right-wing accounts known for disseminating fake news and Re-socialing the country with a new legal representative as instructed. Any other order that has not yet been complied with has also remained unheeded within the country. Musk was able to squash this move criterion however this threw a wrench in the march of ordinary.

Subsequently, Moraes has issued freezing orders on those accounts for X and its satellite internet service known as Starlink which has been providing internet in Brazil since 2022 mainly to under served regions in the amazon, in a bid to ensure payment of penalties incurred by the social network for ignoring bail orders.

Last week, Moraes permitted transfer of nearly $3 million which were required to be paid to the court by Musk’s companies to be stashed into X’s coffers.

Time and again, Elon musk has attacked the tirade of morenews in his social media networks, calling him an “antichrist” and stamping the name of “Moriarty” the criminal arch-enemy considered L. McDonald’s in her book near enned Harry bonnet.

Internet providers cited that X was restored on Wednesday due to a mandatory upgrade of the phone application which had been devised as a restriction.

518 It allowed the application to automatically change IP addresses that identify computers through a system called Cloudflare which made it difficult to profit out of.

ABRINT stated that on Thursday, it was reported that X had now stopped using Cloudflare.

Whereas X said that the restoration of service was not by design, Anatel however maintained that the company had taken measures to ignore the Supreme Court order saying it was ‘deliberate intention.’ “We have hoped that it will be used a mechanism in order to constrain the service again,” Anatel announced on Thursday with the phrase, “So as to constrain the service above.” An agreement by Moraes to ban X also contained a provision where users of the blocked site that use escape methods such as a VPN to visit the site could be subject to a fine not exceeding $9000.

How did the spat begin?

As the courts tried to enforce some form of policy over social media posts, tensions over the freedom of expression, content control and what was termed usurpation of power from the judiciary came to the fore in the last few months with Elon Musk and the Brazilian judiciary.

Despite Brazil being one of the countries With a large proportion of X users, recently the Supreme Court’s Justice Mr Alexandre de Moraes has suspended the operation of the platform. There were orders to ban certain accounts but that did not sit well with Musk, as a result X Brazilian office was closed, and ban of the application followed.

The bust Up first started when the 126 brazil 126 – Justice Alexandre de Moraes sought action against unmissable Elon Musk’s social media platform X Twitter – then – and accused midderabl titter on wider but on twiiter x – x procedures advocating more such disermcomition Klaus Davidson and incident particularly when supporteses ex president Get Oliveira Bolsonaro Uno.

In April 2024, de Moraes also included Musk and X in the active investigation on disinformation ‘Digital Militias Inquiry’. The judge claimed that Musk has restored blocked accounts without seeking proper authorization from the courts and obstructs the regulation of the internet.

On August 30, 2024, Justice de Moraes ordered the suspension of X in Brazil declaring the platform had not assisted a legal representative in compliance with domestic legislation. This decision followed the suspension of operations of X in Brazil, as Apple, Google and other local PS of the major Internet companies cut the access of their users to the mentioned social network.

Elon Musk maded a thorough response on the suspension and through X began posting aggressive publicly edited letters to justice de Moraes and her graphics, including images in which the judge ends up behind bars. De Moraes labeled first as a “dictator” and was called to bring him down, with charges of “Censorship” against freedom of speech.
