Elon Musk, the CEO of Tesla and SpaceX has strongly taken to Twitter to express his disagreement with Apple’s recent partnership with OpenAI. The technology entrepreneur claims that the major security risks as well as privacy concerns resulting from this collaboration. This deal is referred to by him as “an unacceptable security violation” in one of his tweets.

To further elaborate on it, Musk posted a meme from 2017 Tamil film Thappattam where a man and a woman are seen sharing coconut water which symbolizes possible data exchange between Apple and Open.AI that might jeopardize users’ privacy.

Elon Musk questions Apple’s AI Capabilities
Musk also wondered why Apple had resorted to using OpenAI rather than developing its own artificial intelligence (AI) software. He noted that having no in-house AI development does not make sense for Apple since they will not guarantee user privacy if they continue depending on OpenAI.
The business magnate went a step ahead and threatened to ban all apple devices at his firms – Tesla, SpaceX among others, once the integration goes down into the operating system level. Data security was emphasized while suggesting storing visitor’s apple devices inside Faraday cages so as to prevent any data transmission.
