New Delhi: Royal Challengers BangaloreA major four-door victory gujarat titans This was their third consecutive win in the IPL. Fife du Plessis and Virat Kohli Led the team to successfully chase down the small target of 148 runs, forming a strong partnership of 92 runs in just 35 balls.
Their outstanding performance laid a solid foundation for the team to win by 6.2 runs at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium.
However, Du Plessis’ departure triggered a brief collapse and Gujarat Titans fought back with quick wickets. After Kohli’s dismissal, the team was in a precarious position with a record of 117-6.
However, the wicketkeeper-batsman Dinesh Karthik, beside Swapnil SinghShowed composure and determination to lead Bengaluru to an unbeaten 35-run victory. Their collective efforts ensured there was no further drama and successfully guided the team home.
However, captain Du Plessis made it clear that the team’s motto is not to look at the scoreboard and play the way we want to play.
“The way we’ve played with the bat and the ball in the last few games has been really good. The aggression with the bat, unbelievable on the pitch. (Conditions assessment) There’s more bounce in the wicket and we’re getting that The information, the bowlers got it and we’ve been performing well,” Du Plessis said after the game.
“Don’t look at the scoreboard and play the way we want to play. It’s a bit nerve-wracking, another wicket, another wicket. Probably not the best but you try to stay positive and improve your NRR. From that point of view it makes sense, but when you need to show a little bit of coolness and composure – maybe four games down, so we can learn some lessons from that,” Du Plessis added.
