There is UK Prime Minister (PM’s) and Conservative Party candidate Rishi Sunak who on Tuesday urged voters to make the right choices in forthcoming general elections and avoid any actions that they may later regret.
Speaking to X, the British PM’s said, “Once you have made that decision on Thursday there is no return.”
He went on: “Do not do something you might end up regretting.”
This statement by Sunak comes amidst strong belief that Labour has held a commanding lead in opinion polls from late 2021 meaning it will win election. The Conservative brand has been damaged by several scandals such as Partygate which caused Boris Johnson’s removal and Liz Truss’s chaotic six-week reign afterwards.
Britons are going to cast their votes on July 4 and results being announced early Friday morning. In the UK, voters elect MPs to represent their local constituencies, and the leader of the party that wins a majority of the 650 constituencies becomes the prime minister and forms the government.
