Daily train between Salem and Mayiladuthurai to run with MEMU coaches | Parami News

Salem-Mayiladuthurai-Salem daily trains will now be operated using Mainline Electric Multiple Unit (MEMU) coaches rather that the old conventional ones. For the Salem-Mayiladuthurai daily service (16812), MEMU coaches are being introduced from June 7th. Mayiladuthurai-Salem daily service (16811) will have MEMU coaches with effect from June 8, indicated a press release issued by Salem Railway Division on Monday.
