M.V. Govindan, the secretary of CPI(M) Kerala issue shows over how P.V. Anvar recently visited several hailings holding a view that SDPI workers as well as Jamaat-e-Islami were outnumbering townsfolk supporters, which was not the case with Mr. Anvar’s audience whose number was hardly touching the consideration threshold of a town man’s meeting.
This was the occasion when Mr. Govindan was speaking during the function held at the Payyambalam beach in Kannur to observe the second death anniversary of the former state secretary of communist party of India Kumaon Mr. Kodiyeri Balakrishnan’s politburo members on Tuesday (October 1,2024).
“So the public meeting, Mr. Anwar, held and one if looks closely at what was aimed and who the different factions were came out with it, which is SDPI which is the strong in malappuram, and Jamaat-e-Islami.” In the company were also cadres of the congress and the Muslim League (Indiana United Forum) although the turnout of party members paraded was between 10-30. Such were the allegations by Mr. Govinda Kumar whom Mr. Anwar differs of leading an ‘unholy alliance’ comprising SDPI, Jamaat & IUML & congress.
Regarding the last public meeting of Mr. Anvar in Kozhikode, Mr. Govindan has reported that over 300 people participated along with the ex CPI(M) members who had been ‘expelled’.
“One was a district committee member who was expelled three years ago and one was a DYFI who was thrown out from Bomiley,” he said, stressing that there are no party members who participated in the meeting of Mr. Anvar.
And Mr. Govindan also criticized Mr. Anvar in that after the poor show of the crowds in Kozhikode Anvar said he would not hold any more public meetings since he had a sore throat and the rest of the excuses.
“This is party that has faced more serious challenges including next to Mr. Anavar. Mr. Govidan boasted regarding Internalocide and warned that any other attempt directed against the CPI shall be contained by swelling of the masses.”
