“The party that used Article 356 (imposition of presidential rule) 91 times to dissolve the elected government, the party that the Prime Minister changed the Chief Minister before leaving for Andhra Pradesh, the party that imposed Emergency in the country is now teaching us a lesson about the Constitution.
“The party that defeated its own candidate Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar in the elections is preaching to the nation on Dalits and the Constitution, it should look at its past record. The Constitution is a classic of the BJP, PM Modi has clarified that no one has the courage to change the constitution,” he added.
On April 30, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, while addressing a rally in Binder, Madhya Pradesh, claimed that if the BJP returns to power at the Center, it will “tear up” and “throw away” the benefits granted to the poor, Dalits Constitutional rights of castes and other backward classes.
Scindia claimed that the Congress is about to end.
“It was not clear (until Friday) who the candidates were for Amethi and Rae Bareli. (Congress) candidates from Indore and Surat Lok Sabha seats have withdrawn from the race.
