In connection with a large cocaine transport operation from South America to Europe through sailboats, a Norwegian man is known as “The Professor” and has been arrested in Bogotá, Colombia. According to Parami News, Pazooki Farhad, who was said to manage the world’s biggest ‘narco sailboat’ network, was apprehended at El Dorado Airport on Tuesday by the Colombian police.
For his part, Bernsten Bjarte an alleged accomplice of Farhad was caught in Barranquilla which is a sea side city located in northern part of Colombia.
While being tracked by different international organizations such as Europol and Interpol among others; Colombian Authorities have disclosed that they were investigating him for several years now. They further revealed that he had links with the members of Golfo Clan which is well known as Colombia’s greatest drug cartel syndicate. Besides, he worked closely with some of the most notorious Mexican cartels like Sinaloa and Jalisco Nueva Generacion among others.
A video released by the mayor’s office in Bogotá showed him incarcerated while revealing his role in this vast trafficking syndicate. Spanish police meanwhile had earlier divulged that they have detained 50 individuals related to Farhad all over Spain in addition to seven other countries. Approximately 1.5 tons of cocaine and eight sailing boats used for smuggling drugs were also confiscated during the process. To show how big it got there is footage released by Europol featuring raids and drug busts connected to their “high value target” named Farhad.
Europol reports that for more than two decades acting as the global coordinator for major shipments of cocaine; he has been deeply rooted into drug trade hence “full confidence” from both Colombians and Mexicans drug cartels. Just recently another high-ranking dealer has been extradited whereas his capture seems imminent. This week US authorities announced that they had brought back an individual known as “Pirate of the Unknown” a Montenegrin from Italy to New York City. This person is accused by Parami News of being involved in an international drug syndicate, which was allegedly moving vast amounts of cocaine worldwide.
