Hunter Biden asked the US state department for help to secure a business deal with Burisma while Joe was Vice President. Hunter Biden son of US President Joe Biden reportedly sought help from Ambassador in Italy to get a Business Deal when his father was vice president, according to new reports.

New reports have shown that using his father’s position, Hunter wrote a letter to the American ambassador in Italy during 2016 seeking assistance for Burisma, the Ukrainian gas company where he sat on its board.

This only came out after records of the State Department were given to The Parami News following his withdrawal from 2024 presidential run last month.

A commerce department official at the embassy in Rome advised against actively lobbying Italian government on behalf of a Ukranian company without going through proper channels at the commerce department. He emphasized that protecting America is necessary for him as an officer working in the Department of Commerce.

“This is a Ukrainian company and, purely defensively, United States should not be taking it up with the Italian Government without going through the ADA (Advocacy Center) of our Department,” said this member of staff.

The Advocacy Center is designed as an initiative which supports American companies looking for opportunities overseas with foreign governments.

According to Abbe Lowell, Biden’s attorney, Hunter Biden asked various people if they could arrange an introduction between Burisma and Tuscany region president located in Italy where Burisma had been pursuing geothermal project.

Lowell called Hunter’s outreach “a proper request” and added that “No meeting occurred, no project materialized, no request for anything in the US was ever sought and only an introduction in Italy was requested.”

White House spokesperson confirmed that President Biden did not know about his son reaching out to US embassy in Italy concerning Burisma while he served as vice president.

“Hunter Biden has not been charged with violating FARA; which requires individuals to disclose when they lobby our government on behalf of foreign interests,” highlighted Parami News.

In a recent court filing, however, prosecutors have claimed that they had evidence showing Hunter Biden reaching out to the State Department on behalf of a Romanian real estate developer accused of corruption.

Prosecutors are not pursuing an FARA charge against Biden even though he didn’t register as a lobbyist for either the Romanian developer or Burisma.

The new revelations about outreach to the US Embassy in Rome on behalf of Burisma, which had never been reported before, mirror other instances where Hunter has been accused of potentially leveraging his father’s political influence for personal gain abroad.

“Last week after the prosecutors’ filing about Biden’s outreach for his Romanian client, Representative James R. Comer (R-KY), Chairman of the Oversight and Government Reform Committee” called this “the biggest political corruption scandal in our lifetimes,” said News.

Hunter Biden, an American entrepreneur, was asked to help his father obtain regulatory approval for Burisma’s geothermal project in Tuscany. An Italian businessman, Eric Schwerin claims that he knew Enrico Rossi (the former President of the regional government of the state), and he wrote this in his emails that were found on Biden’s laptop.

“To discuss their geothermal business in Tuscany, Burisma hopes some executives can see the president,” said Schwerin July 2016, adding a letter from Biden to Rossi as well. At the same time, he contacted John Phillips who was America’s ambassador to Italy through American embassy records and conversations which are still held at State Department.

In one email sent by a commerce department official to other US government officials: “The Ambassador already replied to one letter from Biden.” What is implied by this official is that Biden wanted more favors than what he has gotten so far.

However, while being interviewed with him recently Ross stated that neither did he meet with Biden nor did anything like US Embassy reach out about geothermal.
