Ponguru Narayana, the TDP Andhra MLA candidate from Nellore City’s wife and daughters celebrating after he secured a lead.
Nellore District is leading in the majority of eight Assembly constituencies and Nellore Lok Sabha constituency.
TDP’s Vemireddy Prabhakar Reddy leads by 36809 votes of YSR Congress Party candidate Venumbaka Vijaya Sai Reddy, so far.
Reddy got 140288 votes; Sai Reddy, on the other hand, managed to secure 103479 votes by round four end.
Moreover, TDP’s Vemireddy Prashanthi Reddy contested for Kovur MLA seat and led over YSRCP’s Nallapareddy Prasanna Kumar Reddy by a margin of 12646 votes with only two rounds remaining.

Ponguru Narayana has obtained 6229 votes against Khaleel Ahamad of the YSRCP at Nellore City constituency in the third round.
Nellore Rural sitting MLA Kotamreddy Sridhar Reddy who has shifted his loyalty to TDP for this election as predicted by all exit polls is on course to win a hat-trick as he has secured leads in first five rounds. He polled 7165 more votes than Adala Prabhakara Reddy YSRCP leader at end of fifth round counting.
On another note, Sarvepalli Assembly segment is witnessing an intense contest between Kakani Govardhan Reddy of the YSRCP and Somireddy Chandramohan Reddy from the TDP. In three rounds Kakani was leading while Somireddy took lead on fourth. As it turned out Kakani regained his footing in seventh inning but again Somireddy didn’t lie down and ended up with a lead of 9243 in twelfth.
In Atmakur Assembly constituency, only Mekapati Vikram Reddy of the YSRCP is leading by 103 votes against TDP’s Anam Ramanarayana Reddy at end of tenth round of counting.
