From the success of Guddu Pandit which was a beloved character in Mirzapur Season 1, Ali Fazal will now be seen opposite Samantha Prabhu as a lead for Rakht Brahmand. The ensemble cast includes Aditya Roy Kapoor and Wamiqa Gabbi in key roles.
The series is directed by the visionary duo Raj & DK while Rahi Anil Barve of Tumbbad fame directs Rakht Brahmand. This comes after his last movie release anticipation on Anurag Basu’s Metro In Dino,Lahore 1947 produced by Aamir Khan and Thug Life directed by Mani Ratnam.
One insider revealed: “This project is an amazing creation of Raj & DK, it is definitely groundbreaking in its genre of fantasy drama”. All casting decisions have been finalized and the filming begins next week. Ali has plans to shoot for it throughout August even as he finishes up some smaller schedules for his other projects. He was approached about doing the show, discussed it with them and then read through the first two episodes. It’s a really interesting part – something he has never done before both from character perspective and also genre-wise
The shooting of six episode web series would begin next week in Mumbai.
