Girls Will Be Girls is a much-anticipated film to close the 15th annual Indian Film Festival of Melbourne (IFFM) 2024 on August 25, a project that was produced by Ali Fazal and Richa Chadha. The largest celebration of Indian cinema outside India is the IFFM, now celebrating its milestone 15th year with grand celebrations slated between 15-25 August.
This film has already been widely acclaimed in many international platforms and as it continues this winning streak, it secures this prestigious slot at IFFM, making its Australian premiere in the festival. Preeti Panigrahi will be present at the closing ceremony to enhance the excitement and glamour of the evening. It is therefore not surprising that this film has mesmerized audiences all over due to its captivating narrative and brilliant performances.

It has already made a significant impact on the international film festival circuit. Boldly narrated and with outstanding performances, this movie was highly lauded during its world premiere at Sundance International Film Festival and won two major awards. The film has since January had a big following having shown at Cannes, Sundance London and even bagged grand jury prizes in Transylvania International Film Festival in Romania, Biarritz Film Festival in France as well as IFFLA in LA.
