“A lot of seniors are missing and we relied heavily on them in terms of batting but they missed out,” Zimbabwe captain Sikandar Raza said.
“But hopefully we can recover better in the next game.”
On the 28th, Madande qualified for the stage ahead of Saifuddin, but after a review, the decision was overturned.
Chittagong will host the second match of the series on Sunday.
The series is Bangladesh’s last match ahead of next month’s T20 World Cup, co-hosted by the United States and West Indies.
