Karun Nair brought back his youthful cricketing days in the most thrilling way possible for Indian fans, with a 124 unbeaten runs off 48 balls for Mysore Warriors against Mangalore Dragons on Monday at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bangalore as part of the Maharaja Trophy T20 tournament.
Lead by Shreyas Gopal; Mangalore skipper put to bat, unfortunately though not quicker by T20 standards like they were only capable to score 61 runs out of two overs within the first eight overs where samit dravid had joined them in middle stage.
Samit and Nair scored 36 off just 21 deliveries and thereafter Samit was sent packing by Nischith Rao for 16 with 97-3 on board after 11.3 over.
Since then, Karun Nair who has played six matches for India in Test cricket and two ODIs put his foot on the pedal and never looked back.
