K.T. Rama Rao, the BRS working president said that it is only BRS that has given opportunities to several student leaders of Osmania and Kakatiya universities to make it to the law-making bodies as well as local bodies while Congress government is crying out crocodile tears on them.
A. Rakesh Reddy held meetings in Nakrekal, Choutuppal and Devarakonda speaking on behalf of his political candidate for by election into Warangal-Nalgonda-Khammam Graduates’ Constituency seat in Legislative Council whom he pointed out were former students leaders of this university like B. Suman, G. Kishore Kumar, G. Balaraju,B .Rammohan,Md.fasiuddin among others.
The ruling Congress party which had come to power by making false promises and mentioned about several promises over which the Congress Government had either gone back fully or partially asked every graduate voter who came from farmers’ families to think about how the Congress party has failed on its promise of ₹2 lakh crop loan waiver on December 9th and how it changed word on bonus of ₹500 per quintal paid against paddy.
According to him, the government promised that if minimum support price is fixed at ₹2,183 per quintal for paddy and this price applies to all common varieties then they will give bonus on fine varieties only starting next season but this did not happen. He did not even fulfill promise of Rythu Bharosa for rabi season leave alone uncertainty regarding support for kharif season coming up.
Enhanced Kalyana Laxmi was not implemented by the Government till date when how many girls from below poverty line families should have married after congress came into power are waiting for the benefit of ₹1 lakh and 10 grams gold as promised. He also mentioned about ₹2,500 monthly assistance to women.
There was no word on filling 2 lakh jobs as promised and instead the government was shamelessly claiming credit to 30,000 jobs for merely giving appointment letters as the entire recruitment process was completed by the previous BRS government. Stating that educated leaders would be like torch-bearers to the society, he appealed to the graduates who include unemployed youth, employees and teachers to elect Mr. Rakesh Reddy who had been helping aspirants of civil services over the Congress candidate specialising in blackmailing.
