Russian parliamentary deputy, Mikhail Sheremet announced on Friday that Ukraine’s incursion into Russia’s Kursk region means the world is at the brink of a third world war.
According to RIA, “Honestly speaking, in all this situation one may draw a conclusion that the world is on the verge of World War III”, Sheremet added.
This invasion by Ukrainian troops was their largest since 2022 Kremlin invasion and it occurred on August 6th when a large number of ground forces crossed over to Russia’s Kursk region.
In another development, Putin’s assistant Nikolai Patrushev blamed Western countries for initiating the attack in an interview with Izvestia newspaper.
According to him Russian intelligence agency, western European intelligence agencies and NATO were involved in planning this but he did not give any evidence according to Reuters agency.
In addition, Ukraine together with its partners claimed that China and Iran were assisting Russia in its military operations against other nations.
Earlier today North Korean supreme leader Kim Jong Un had re-emphasized his country’s intention to collaborate with Russia including predicting that Moscow would win “holy warrors of peace and justice”.
