A 17-year-old girl who has accused POCSO BJP leader B.S. Yediyurappa of sexually assaulting her.

On May 26 (Sunday), a woman, who had complained to the police about the former Chief Minister and current BJP leader, B.S.Yeddyurappa for his alleged sexual assault on her 17 year old daughter at his Dollars Colony residence, died at a private hospital in Hulimavu in Bengaluru.

According to sources from the police department, after she experienced breathing problems that night of May 26th, the 53 years old woman went to a Private Hospital. The source said that she died while at that hospital because of not responding to treatment. According to the sources from police department, the hospital said that she was suffering from lung cancer.

After she filed a complaint with Sadashivanagar Police Station on Mar 14 against Mr Mr Yediyurappa state government shifted it to Criminal Investigation Department (CID) on next day. CID is currently investigating this case and have recorded survivor’s and her mother’s statements under section 164 of CrPC.

The woman left behind her seventeen-year-old daughter and one son. She claimed in her POCSO complaint that Mr Yediyurappa was approached by both herself and daughter when they needed assistance regarding previous cases of molestation committed against them as well as cheating among other offenses leveled against them. In the year 2015, it is claimed that her cousin raped her daughter.
