A terrible occurrence happened when a girl died trying to take a selfie close to an old-fashioned steam locomotive. The woman, believed to be in her twenties, lost her life instantly after going too near the tracks.
This horrifying video of the event has bee widely disseminated via social media sites. Thus highlighting how risky it is to take selfies in dangerous places.
The accident took place while a crowd was preparing to photograph ‘Empress’,. The historical steam locomotive officially referred as Canadian Pacific 2816. This was during Final Spike Steam Tour and as the train approached Hidalgo. She went dangerously near tracks so that she could capture a selfie.

The corner of engine of this train struck her at the back of her head causing her fall forward. In this aspect, the child ran away obviously shocked. Whereas another man who was nearby quickly grabbed woman body saving her from being hit by moving trains.
According to local media reports, she had been accompanied by her son and some other children from a neighboring school. According to authorities, she died upon arrival at hospital due to fatal injuries caused by this accident.
Empress’ steam locomotive built in 1930 originated its journey from Calgary last month across Canada into America and Mexico as part of celebration of Canadian Pacific Kansas City (CPKC). On Friday it will reach its terminus in Mexico City whereby it will mark historical amalgamation plus become outmoded since July which is its last journey.
Afterwards following this incident, Canadian Pacific Kansas City (CPKC) issued apology statement positively expressing their deep regret together with condolences sent to family members.
