Preliminary investigations have been conducted into the actions of Bharat Rashtra Samiti (BRS) officials, who have asked for more time to appear before the investigating agencies probing accusations of irregularities in Kaleshwaram project or Yadadri and Bhadadri Power plants, if they are not corrupt.
– Why does BRS chief K. Chandrasekhar Rao demand more time to be given to him by the investigative agencies, if he is not guilty? – Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) spokesperson Bhavani Reddy asked during a press conference held at her office. She argued that demanding more time was an obvious evidence of deep corruption and direct involvement of BRS leadership.
She laughed off allegations of corruption leveled against Congress government by former Ministers T Harish Rao and G Jagadish Reddy saying that first they should explain about huge corruption in every scheme or project launched by Government of Bharat Rashtra Samiti. They behave as if it were not their responsibility as leaders which would make them innocent and not playing any role in corruption but why do they want to delay their interrogation from above authorities?” she continued.
According to Ms. Bhavani, all the officials who were arrested for different corruptions and illegal activities had mentioned KCR’s family members’ names. In phone tapping case, she accused that the affected persons are KCR, his son K.T.RamaRao and daughter K.Kavitha.
She said that failure by Congress government to meet its promises will prompt people to ask questions while BRS leadership should be prepared for legal action due to what they did with Telangana landmasses.
In response to another query, she disclosed that Chief Minister Revanth Reddy’s declaration that single teacher schools would continue operating has demonstrated governments commitment towards education. This was opposed by her who alleged that 5000 such schools were shut down under BRS government.
