Atlanta rapper Rich Homie Quan, real name Dequantes Devontay Lamar, succumbed to the arbitrary hands of death at 34. The Fulton County Medical Examiner’s office confirmed his death, a report by 11Alive says. The cause of death has not yet been disclosed to the public and and an autopsy has been set for next Friday.
At about 11.20 am on Tuesday, Autumn 22, the Atlanta Police were called in the early morning hours to respond to a medical emergency relating to Quan and his whereabouts at a private residence located at Hamden Forest Drive SW. This call came into the emergency system because of Quan’s girlfriend, Amber Williams.
In relation to the 911 recording acquired by 11Alive, Mrs. Williams came back from getting her son from school and saw Mr. Quan lying on the couch apparently not moving. She thought he was in bed and rather fast asleep at the time. But when she took a look at him, there was saliva on his mouth and there was no heart beat.
In the heartbreaking recording of 911 calls, Williams says how she tries to wake him up and how she started screaming when she found him in that condition. She even spoke to a 911 dispatcher who told her the things that needed to be done to help the man breathe while medical aids were working at the scene. Unfortunately, Quan was later confirmed dead at the same location.

Rich Homie Quan first emerged in music industry way back in the early 2010s with a prominent activity of releasing a single ‘Type of Way’ in the year 2013. Then again in the year 2015, his track ‘Flex (Ooh, Ooh, Ooh)’ made it to the 26th position in the list of Billboard Hot 100. Thanks to his sweet harmonies and irresistible hooks, Quan who was largely known for allowing the take shots was a member of the music group Rich Gang and worked with Young Thug, 2 Chainz, Gucci Mane and Trinidad James.
He was born on 4th October 1990 in Atlanta. His life can be termed as a success story having worked in a number of groups and also as a solo artist. He had emcees who could make endless words and build up the emotional aspect of the song through agitated and furious manners of singing which made him the ideal artist to change everything in the trap and rap scenes.

The Fulton County Medical Examiner’s Office has started to look into the reminder of the cause of death. There is an autopsy which is to take place on Friday and will be of great assistance. The news of Quan’s demise reached the fans and the music industry and led to shock, grief and reflections of love as well as congratulatory sentiments.
The sudden demise of Rich Homie Quan is a retraining end of the loss, although the rapper had achieved much during his official years in the scene. The collaboration with Rich Gang as well as his single releases are his contributions which the people will still enjoy for quite some time to come.
