A national security aide of Donald Trump’s and a well-known figure in his political circle since 2016, Kash Patel is expected to play a huge role in the federal government if Donald Trump returns for the second term.
He is on the board of Trump Media and Technology Group, which owns Truth Social (social media platform). Additionally, he had been under contract with it as a consultant at an annual salary of $120,000. According to campaign finance records and Truth Social’s public filings, Trump’s leadership PAC has paid Patel over $300,000 starting early last year for being a national security advisor to Trump.
‘We are going after all the fake news people that lied about American citizens that tried to rig their elections against Joe Biden. We are coming after you whether criminally or civilly. I don’t know yet but we are putting you all on notice.’
Patel also expressed his intention to serve in another administration led by Trump. However, Trump without any qualifications considered Patel for high-ranking positions at either FBI or CIA so that he could tighten his grip on intelligence agencies. At one point recently Patel said that when he was hire as Senior Counterterrorism Counsel at powerful House Intelligence Committee during his confirmation hearing before U.S Senate panel ranking members.
Truly other than simply wearing multiple hats like other aides who worked for the president but praise him too when building their own brands through this sort of job description., Patel is different from most of President Trump’s advisors because he has extensive background. He often points out that in addition to being an attorney specializing explicitly in defense, statesmanship official at the highest level and federal prosecutor as well as US Congress leading staff member among others; therefore promising to weed out those not loyal to President Trump while also criticizing intelligence machinery itself.
After graduating from Pace University Law School, Patel struggled to secure a position at prestigious law firms and instead became a public defender. To some extent working within both local and federal jurisdictional boundaries in Florida before joining the Department of Justice, Patel stayed in Miami courts for a little over eight years. Patel began working on the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence (HPSCI) as a staffer for Devin Nunes who was then its chairman, this is where he worked until 2017 as confirmed by his LinkedIn profile at the time.
Nunes had assigned Patel to run the committee’s investigation into Russian interference with United States’ elections in 2016. The Nunes Memo was co-authore by him which castigated DOJ handling of the FISA warrant against a past Trump campaign volunteer. Although vigorously opposed by DOJ, it attracted President Trump’s attention thereby bringing Patel to National Security Council and hence several other important posts including being briefly Acting Director of National Intelligence’s top envoy and secondly Chief Chris Miller’s staff member.
Ever since he left office, Kash has been active. Patel also started Fight with Kash that funds defamatory lawsuites and sells merchandise like branded socks and playing cards among others. This organization has transformed into The Kash Foundation, a non-governmental organization supporting whistleblowers, police officers and educational programs.
On various occasions Patel has made it known that he intends to be transparent about his foundation’s finances; however there are public records discrepancies. In his claim he said that in 2022 alone $100k were issued from the organization but when you look at IRS reports only about $55k was given out to entities unknown to them.
Patel has been busy writing books in addition to organizing things. He published a memoir called ‘government gangsters: the deep state, the truth and the battle for our democracy’ and authored two children’s books that praised Trump.
