Couch, Joseph A, 32, is the man in crisis as most describe him in the horrifying case of mass shooting along Interstate 75 in Kentucky. In what is suspected to be shooting into at least 12 cars and injuring five victims, Couch has been the focus of a full day search by local, state, and federal investigators.
The incident
Couch is said to have shot from the cliff when the complaint was made that he began aiming the weapon to vehicles on the interstate in both directions. Gunfire broke out at approximately 5:30 p.m. local time, and due to the fact that police found an emptied SUV and AR 15 at the site, Couch became a suspect rather quickly. There were between 20 and 30 shots that were fired and twelve cars got hit and five people got hurt. All of them sustained serious injuries one of them being shot in the face but they were said to be in stable condition.
The manhunt
Even banks of rivers and the thick woods associated with one have not zeroed in on him since or just slightly outside of, the city of London Kentucky, and great attention was being given to the interstate. And despite the further involvement of drones and a helicopter with infrared payloads, terrain was a great factor. They enlarged the search around the next Tass highway roundabout, up to the neighborhood where Couch had been adjoining the interstate by setting out after night on Sunday.
Local residents have been advised to secure their doors and keep away from the search area since there is a possibility that Couch is dangerous. Laurel County public schools took the precaution of suspending classes on Monday as a response to the threat.
Couch’s background
Couch is a military veteran who spent four years in the National Guard straight with an engineer battalion. Plus, he has a clean criminal record apart from a few instances before including one in a 2015 with arising charges of criminal mischief and unlawful transactions with a minor.
