Around 4 PM, a suspect in a case was brought before a Bronx judge via video from his hospital bed but managed to flee the police the incident happened on Thursday as per the information provided by the police. The court records indicate that Jose Lopez was arraigned on several charges which emanated from an incident which happened on 29 August 2019 where he was accused of eluding police on a motorcycle, driving dangerously before crashing into the Bronx.
According to the report, upon apprehending Lopez at Gerard Avenue and East 150th Street, police concluded that he was in possession of drugs, New York Post further reported.
The police department says there is a picture from surveillance of Lopez that has been posted and appeals for help to catch him have been made directly to the public.
Lopez is tall 5 feet 11 inches and has a weight of 170 pounds as stated by the police.
At the Court’s Video Conference App, Lopez, who is 37 years of age did not plead guilty to the criminal possession of the controlled drug substances recklessly endangering government obstruction administration offenses to mention but a few. Criminal activity took place even further, causing Doyle’s property damage, reckless driving, neglect to yield the right of way to a pedestrian, and offending by abandoning an automobile at the site of a collision. Subsequently, Judge Daniel Lewis ordered his release with a one-dollar bond.
According to the New York Post, Lopez was admitted to the 32 34 NYC Health + Hospitals Lincoln Mott.
Lopez’s history of crime began in the year 2008 and he has been arrested 16 times for offenses like robbery, burglary, and illegal drugs. After another fleeing incident which occurred Thursday Morning, law enforcement officers employed a number of K-9 units searching the area around the hospital for the suspect attempting to capture him.
