Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin said that Tamil Nadu was the first state to oppose NEET for medical college admissions, and that his administration would one day put an end to the “fraudulent” NEET.
He told a felicitation function organized by the School Education Department in Chennai for students and teachers where he referred to NEET as being “fraudulent.” Mr. Stalin’s remarks were prompted by recent claims of widespread malpractice during the conduct of NEET-UG 2024. “We said ‘No’ to NEET first; now whole India is saying ‘No’ to it today. It will be stopped one day, because this is our responsibility,” he reiterated.
According to TN CM, no factor from society, economy or political situation should act as barriers towards education among students. He added: “Your education shall not face any obstacles; we will not fail you,” emphasized the state leader.
