Watch: Triumphant Donald Trump, Elon Musk and team return to Madison Square Garden for UFC 309

Donald Trump, U.S. President-elect returned to Madison Square Garden in New York city on Saturday night to attend an ultimate Fighting Championship event. He received a thunderous welcome from the crowd.
Trump arrived with a group that included Elon Musk. and other cabinet picks The UFC showed a video about Trump’s return to the White House. Trump acknowledged the crowd.

Musk will help lead a new Department of Government Efficiency. He joined Trump and House Speaker Mike Johnson at the event. Robert Kennedy Jr., nominated for Department of Health and Human Services, was also present.
Trump spoke with UFC commentator Joe Rogan, who had interviewed and endorsed him. Trump at the arena went directly to podcaster Joe Rogan, shaking hands and talking with him for few moments.

Trump has a close relationship with UFC CEO Dana White. White spoke at Trump’s victory celebration and the Republican National Convention.
Fighter Jon Jones, scheduled to fight Stipe Miocic, spoke about the event: “To be here at Madison Square Garden — it’s like the fight capital of the world. And to have the president possibly in attendance, it’s all a huge honour.”
The event marks a return to the venue where Trump conducted a massive rally in October. The event was marked by controversy after comedian Tony Hinchcliffe made a joke about Puerto Rico, calling it a “floating island of garbage.” Hinchcliffe’s remark seemed to reference recent reports about growing accumulations of debris in the Pacific Ocean.
Trump is known for his attendance at combat sports events, having frequently appeared at UFC and WWE matches.
