One person died while six others sustained injuries when the roof of the Delhi airport’s Terminal-1 collapsed on cars, which included taxis, amidst heavy downpour in early June 28.
For instance, Minister of Civil Aviation Rammohan Naidu has announced a sum of ₹20 lakh in compensation for the next-of-kin and ₹3 lakh for the victims.
Therefore all departures from Terminal 1 have been suspended until further notice, as a precautionary measure check-in counters at Terminal 1 are closed.
The Ministry of Civil Aviation informed that alternative arrangements were being made for flights affected due to temporary closure of Terminal 1.
