A televised mayoral debate among various candidates for the mayor of Brazil’s largest city, São Paulo, turned chaotic when one of the candidates lost control and attacked his opponent using a chair. A recording of events is now posted on almost all social media forums. This shows how hot blooded José Luiz Datena and Pablo Marçal are.
CNN reports, On that occasion, Datena did hit Marçal and because of that Marçal had to be hospitalized. The altercation began after Pablo Marcal, an opponent, brought up previous accusations of sexual harassment that were leveled towards Datena but were long consigned to the dustbin.
As per Datena, this is a true statement as the case was rest in the archives without police action owing to insufficient information and had greatly affected his household.
After the fight, Datena was removed from the plants debate. At the same time, persuading others to argue on the negative side, Datena circled out accepting that his actions were wrong but regretted nothing.
Marçal, who underwent chest and wrist trauma management at Sírio Libanês Hospital, compared the attack to the attempts that had been made on the lives of political leaders such as trump and Jair Bosalnaro. An image of all three massacres was also uploaded to Instagram by him with the caption, “Why all this hate?”
The debate resumed with the remaining candidates and the host of the debate, TV Cultura apologised on the matter but went on with the debate under the rules after other candidates were endorsing it.
Marçal’s legal representatives have been muttering threats of litigation. “José Luiz Datena, a coward, applied a hit from an iron chair on the ribs of Pablo Marçal,” claimed Marcal’s team adding sadly that the debate had continued after the target had been bowed out.
