Visakhapatnam Metropolitan Regional Development Authority (VMRDA) Chairperson M.V. Pranav Gopal has asked officials to give priority to completing the projects that attract tourists to the city. He wanted the VMRDA officials to coordinate with tourism department officials and take up such projects.
Mr. Pranav Gopal on Friday (December 13) held a meeting with engineering and planning officials on the ongoing works and asked the officials to complete them in the stipulated time. He said Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu had focussed on development of Visakhapatnam and asked the officials to make sure that the projects taken up by the VMRDA are in accordance with the vision of the CM.
Mr. Pranav Gopal asked the officials to give priority to laying of roads connecting the upcoming Bhogapuram international airport and also direct the contractors to complete the ongoing projects within the scheduled time. He asked the officials not to compromise on quality of works and said he would make a visit of all the ongoing works soon.
The VMRDA Chairperson asked the planning department not to delay the processing of applications related to permission for new layouts, building permissions and Change of Land Use (ChLU). He also wanted the officials to create awareness among the applicants about the single window system for processing applications that would be introduced soon.
