Vistara flights, which will begin November 12, will be operated by Air India. Further, customers are instructed to make Air India’s website for any future reservations.
From September 3, it will not be possible for passengers to purchase Vistara tickets for travel commencing on or after November 12.
These details were shared in an email from Vistara’s CEO Vinod Kannan to the airline’s employees.
Such declarations had come soon after the updating by Singapore Airlines regarding the ‘merger’ and informing in a press release that there was approval from the Government of India for the Singapore Airlines FDI into Air India.
On June 6, the order of NCLT allowed the merger to proceed to 163 pages and the previous merger was given 9 months to dissolve. Vistara’s flying permit issued by the Director General Civil Aviation Directorate GCA will be valid until December 21024.
Tata Sons Pvt. Ltd will have 73.38% in the combined entity while Singapore Airlines will have the remaining 25.1%.
This approval, together with other governmental and regulatory approvals received to date, is an important step forward in the in the merger process SIA said in a statement.
