On Friday, June 14, 2024 Mr. Annamalai, the T.N. BJP President announced that the PMK will contest for the forthcoming by-elections to Vikravandi Assembly Constituency in Villupuram district on behalf of National Democratic Alliance (NDA), its alliance partner during Lok Sabha elections.
“Leaders of NDA have unanimously decided that PMK will field its candidate from the Vikravandi assembly constituency” said Mr. Annamalai through a statement whose bypoll is scheduled to be held on July 10,” reads one of his recent statements. The vacancy was created after DMK legislator N.Pugazhenthi died in April this year.
A few days ago, Anniyur Siva was identified as the candidate representing DMK and its partners.
