On August 12th, a program was hosted by Vikram Bhatt wherein he revealed his association with Indira, which is managed by Dr Ajay Murdia. Also present during the function were Dr Ajay Murdia and Mahesh Bhatt who will be mentoring as well scripting films for Indira. The function was also attended by Anupam Kher, Esha Deol, Adah Sharma and Ishwak Singh among others.
Rann was Vikram Bhatt’s first film release ever; a historical one for that matter. It is set in 1669 and is based on Mewar’s Maharana Raj Singh who opposed jizya tax being imposed by Mughal Emperor Aurangzeb. Vikram Bhatt would direct Rann.
Vikram Bhatt launched Viraat as his second film. There is a tiger on it which carries British flag besides ‘Rebel against the Raj’ written underneath it. The director revealed it happens in 1911 when British authorities try to destroy a temple of Maa Sherawali so that they can construct railway lines through that area. This demolition is stopped by a tiger though.
The third film, Tu Meri Puri Kahaani is not directed by Vikram Bhatt like three other films. The movies’ story has been written by Mahesh while music is composed by Anu Malik.
Finally, Tumko Meri Kasam has been directed by Vikram Bhatt and stars Anupam Kher, Esha Deol, Adah Sharma and Ishwak Singh. Its plot revolves around Dr Ajay Murdia’s life for inspiration purposes. All these actors including Vikram Bhatt, Mahesh Bhatt and Dr Ajay Murdia came on stage to launch it prior to addressing journalists.
One particular notable moment during the event was when Anupam Kher gave guru dakshinaa to himself in front of everybody. Mahesh Bhatt was the person who introduced Anupam as an actor in Saaransh (1984). He became a very popular actor in this film and hasn’t stopped growing up ever since.
