Ever since the Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video was launched, the audience had been extremely curious about the video. Starring Rajkummar Rao, Triptii Dimri and Directed by Raaj Shaandilyaa, the film sets out to bring the audience back to the 90’s and provides a quirkiness and nostalgia that audiences will relish. Yet, away from the glam of the film promotion and its releases, the project has been hit by a startling controversy of the film’s playback singer Adnan Sami.
Interestingly, the singer-composer Adnan Sami got to know that he will be singing a love number in the film and was approached by Sachin-Jigar and the T-Series label. There was a lot of excitement on the part of the fans and the team of the film regarding his participation as it had been a while since he appeared in Bollywood Hindi films and everyone’s talents are unquestionable. Nevertheless, this recent development has placed a cloud over this partnership.
Earlier, NDTV, Rajkummar Rao, who was still busy taking his scenes for the song, was apprehensive that he would not get the right lip sync since he would have to perform Adnan Sami who is an excellent singer. Rao, however, apparently pressurized the change of the playback singer despite the reassurance from the team. This came indeed as a surprise to a lot of people especially at the late stage of the progress of the production and the fact that Adnan Sami’s part was actually announced to the public already.
Sachin-Jigar are the ones who have composed the music for the film. In an interview with News 18, Sachin Sangvi shared that it was a dream for him to work with Adnan Sami for the film. “The decade’s songs were notably considerable for me, and one of the songs in the film has Adnan Saab singing the,” remarked Sachin.
Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video is all set to release in the theaters on October 11.
