Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (Anantapuram) [JNTUA] Vice-Chancellor G.V.R. Srinivasa Rao has resigned from his position. The resignation letter was submitted to the Chief Secretary of the State Higher Education Department on 27 June.
Professor Rao who is a Professor in Civil Engineering at Andhra University, Visakhapatnam, was appointed as the Vice Chancellor of JNTU A on January 17 during the regime of YSR Congress Party government.
Furthermore, it is reported that Professor Shasidhar, who was serving as the Registrar of the university, has also resigned from his office.
“Further, Sri Krishna Devaraya University’s Anantapur Vice-Chancellor Prof. K. Hussain Reddy and Registrar M.V. Lakshmaiah have tendered their resignations,” states the source in the university adding that they were recruited during Jagan Mohan Reddy’s period as governor.
