The sudden demise of old-time actress Asha Sharma has proved very expensive for the Indian entertainment industry. The news was announced by Cine and TV Artistes Association (CINTAA) on X, offering deep sympathies to the family and friends of the deceased actress. Pages, however, remained tightlipped in revealing the real death of the accomplished and well-respected retired actor.

Asha Sharma is known in the film industry for portraying leisurely that of a mother in various films and television serials. Scripts that called her as a mother or grandmother always saw the true star in her and thus brought her more loyalty. One of her most famous was a role in the trend setting series Kumkum Bhagya, where audiences appreciated Asha’s performance as a loving grandmother.
Her filmography also contains a number of very successful films, which illustrated how well she acted. In Do Dishayen, she shared a single screen with industry veterans like Dharmendra and Hema Malini and in the movies Insaaf Kaun Karega, Pyaar To Hona Hi Tha, Humko Tumse Pyar Hai, Hum Tumhare Hain Sanam, Mujhe Kucch Kehna Hai and other images her foothold within the industry has got cemented issues.
