Sharvari Wagh, who will be seen next in a different role in a film after the success of her horror-thriller Munjya and critical acclaim for Maharaj on OTT platforms, is all set to entertain audiences again as Vedaa on the big screen. The actress will play the lead character in an action-packed movie called Vedaa which also has John Abraham. Although the teaser dropped early this year building up excitement, the production team has now released a trailer of this intense drama just before its theatrical release.

The trailer like teaser promises to be an exciting ride with lots of twists and turns and suspense that keep one on their toes. The story is about Vedaa aka Sharvari Wagh who refuses to bow down her autocratic society governed by Abhishek Banerjee’s dictator who takes it upon himself to demean, insult even kill people from low castes as his right of birth. It’s through running away from him that she manages to save herself after standing up against him yet finds a former soldier Abhimanyu (John Abraham) who decides to help her out on this mission. The Tamannaah Bhatia starrer also gives a glimpse into John’s love life.

John Abraham, known for his powerful and action-packed roles, is set to deliver another stellar performance. “I am excited about doing films like ‘Vedaa’, films that resonate with audiences and encourage them to fight for what they believe is right,” he said.
Advani says it’s my tenth film as director,” This is my tenth directorial feature film,” Advani said convincingly adding that “It’s about making movies that are entertaining but also have something significant to say or provoke thoughts long after they have ended.” I hope Vedaa becomes such a film.”

Vedaa is directed by Nikkhil Advani and produced by Emay Entertainment in collaboration with John Abraham’s JA Entertainment; the film is scheduled for release on 15th August, Independence Day. It will clash in theaters with two other Hindi movies – Stree 2 (horror comedy) and Khel Khel Mein (a multi-starrer film featuring Akshay Kumar, Taapsee Pannu, Vaani Kapoor etc).
