A special Shehnai performance, folk music, odes to Kashi luminaries and more – As Prime Minister Narendra Modi prepares to file his nomination for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections on May 14, he on Monday The day before, a five-kilometre roadshow was conducted to showcase the culture of Little India and Uttar Pradesh.

The grand plan to welcome Prime Minister Modi to ‘Apni Kashi’ includes a Shehnai performance by the family of Bharat Ratna Ustad Bismillah Khan near Madanpura. The Muslim community, led by former MP Rajesh Mishra, will pay floral tributes to the prime minister. The roadshow will also feature photos of Prime Minister Modi caressing his mother’s feet.
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, other chief ministers, ministers and many prominent personalities from the state are likely to be involved in the nomination process.
Prime Minister Modi’s tour will begin with garlanding the statue of Pandit Madan Mohan Malviya at Banaras Hindu University (BHU) Singh Gate on Monday evening and will mark five years of Kashi’s Develop a roadmap for the development process. The event will conclude at Shri Kashi Vishwanath Temple where Prime Minister Modi will seek the blessings of Baba Vishwanath.
The roadshow will also showcase old and new photos of Varanasi’s development, besides photos of Kashgar celebrities who work or were born in the historic city. These include Pandit Madan Mohan Malviya, Bismillah Khan, Pandit Kishan Maharaj, Tulsidas, Kabir Das and Sant Ravidas, among others.

As part of the PPP’s strategy to make the road show a huge success, the five-kilometre journey will prepare a roadmap for Kashgar’s development journey in five years.

Prime Minister Modi will file his nomination on May 14 after the darshan of Kashi Kotwal Baba Kaal Bhairav. He may also meet the staff of Rudraksha Exhibition and Convention Center.
